Job Description:
We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Production Supervisor with strong CNC machining skills to join our team. The Production Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the production floor, ensuring that production schedules are met, operators are effectively managed, and continuous improvements in efficiency and quality are achieved. This role requires excellent leadership skills, strong problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and quality.
Responsibilities:
- Scheduling and Planning: Develop and implement production schedules to meet production targets and customer demands. Coordinate with other departments to ensure the availability of materials and resources.
- Team Management and operate CNC: Supervise and monitor the activities of production operators. Provide guidance, training, and support to ensure that staff performs their duties efficiently and safely.
- Performance Monitoring: Track and analyze production performance metrics to identify areas for improvement. Implement corrective actions to address any deviations from production plans.
- Efficiency Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve production processes and workflows. Implement lean manufacturing principles and other efficiency-enhancing techniques to optimize production operations.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure that all products meet the company's quality standards and specifications. Conduct regular quality checks and implement quality control procedures to minimize defects and rework.
- Safety Management: Promote a safe working environment by enforcing safety policies and procedures. Conduct regular safety audits and training sessions to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Resource Management: Manage the allocation of resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to maximize production efficiency. Ensure that all equipment is properly maintained and in good working condition.
- Reporting and Documentation: Maintain accurate records of production activities, including production reports, operator performance, and quality metrics. Prepare and present reports to senior management as required.
- Continuous Improvement: Foster a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging staff to identify and suggest improvements to production processes. Lead and participate in improvement projects and initiatives.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field is preferred. Relevant certifications (e.g., Lean Six Sigma) are a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in a production or manufacturing supervisory role, with a proven track record of success in improving production efficiency and quality.
